Description This course
provides a capstone experience for students who are
pursuing a certification in secondary science
education. This class ties together your knowledge
in Earth science and education, specifically
instructional technology. The class is
focused on the development and completion of a
virtual field trip that explains the geology and
natural history of an area in Texas. Students will
go into the field to take pictures and map the
geology of an area such as the geology of
Big
Bend National Park
or the Texas
Hill country.
This year, the class will focus on the geology and
natural history of the Big
Thicket National
Park. Everglades National
Park (Florida), the dark blue region at the south
end of the state, is a large wetland system.
